I have so much fun with my family! “Planking” is very last year. However, I just learned of it, and “owling,” a variation on the fad. I had fits of laughter, looking over thousands of Google images, over my tardiness and the average person’s apparent lack of anything better to do. But actually, maybe a lot of people just do what I do…which is avoid school like the plague on Sundays. Since I was thoroughly entertained, I now present to you a set of pictures so that you may a) point and laugh at my ridiculousness, b) file away a new idea for wasting time, or c) both a and b above.

A girl you’d hardly recognize walking around in my body.
She looks like me but she wears her hair curly, long and mostly down; gone are my straight-ironed, shoulder-length, bob-cuts and experimental boy-cuts. You can see her dress up every now and then, with heels as high as mine were, but the selection of possible outfits is smaller and way too familiar; gone are my outing-specific, generally never-before-worn, ensembles.
She’s as determined as I used to be, but determined to do things I would never have done: make no plans, spend her time in the country rather than a high-rise, and let nothing worry her.
Her hard days include doing one or two things that she must do, regardless of whether or not she wants to do them. Her easy days look like, well, a day in the country, all sunshine and fun-filled.
She isn’t motivated by the desire for success. This girl is motivated by the desire to be happy. Her biggest worry, most days, is that she isn’t worried. Her mind insists on being quiet. The girl has even found time to discover her favorite flower.
What is post-20-years-of-school Miry?
